With Apple HomeKit, you can control the home equipment you have connected to TaHoma®:
• From home, directly from all your Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, HomePod or Mac). • Away from home*,if you have a HomePod, an Apple TV, or an iPad set as home hub, and you are leaving it at home.
• From your car too! If you have a car with Apple CarPlay included or added to it with an aftermarket system, you can also use Siri directly from your car.
* Requires a HomePod, an Apple TV (4th generation or later) with tvOS 10.x or later, or an iPad with iOS 10.x or later set up (as per Apple guidelines - refers to dedicated instructions from Apple for more details)
Control each equipment individually, simply by asking Siri, or from Home app. A selection of Somfy equipment is compatible with HomeKit technology through TaHoma®, as per Apple approval:
*: RTS equipment are not compatible (bidirectional radio required)
**: Equipment giving access to home are not authorized by Apple (gates, garage doors, windows, doorlocks…)
Control your equipment either using Siri or Home app:
You can also create rooms and scenes in Home app*, that can include Somfy equipment.
*: Rooms and scenes created in TaHoma® are not accessible in HomeKit.
The current compatibility concerns the second generation of TaHoma® box*.
And it will work whether you already have it at home, or you are purchasing a new one.
*Each box type must go through a certification process. Consequently, the first generation of TaHoma® box and Somfy box (both square-shaped) are not compatible.
While sunbathing on my terrace, I can simply ask Siri to make some shade to cool down a bit:
“Hey Siri, open the awning”.
With one touch on my iPhone, I can close all the shutters directly from my sofa.
When waking up, I just ask Siri to help me making the day start:
“Hey Siri, open the bedroom rolling shutter” .
