Which interior venetian blinds should you choose?

The internal venetian blinds are made up of a succession of thin horizontal and adjustable slats that are connected by cords. It is available in several widths to suit small windows as well as large bay windows.
The slats are designed in several materials: wood, aluminium or PVC that have different characteristics.

Wooden blinds

This fabric has its own charm with its natural and authentic look.
There are several finishes for wooden slats: whitened, greyed or natural.

This type of material is not suitable for humid or wet rooms in which it could be damaged even if it is very strong.

On the whole, this material is less easy to maintain than PVC or aluminium.
Do note that venetian blinds with wooden slats take up room once the slats are lifted.

Aluminium slats

Venetian blinds with aluminium slats add a touch of modernity to your interiors.
They are easy to maintain and work quite well in a bathroom or kitchen.

They are very strong and are not sensitive to direct sun exposure, unlike blinds with PVC slats. Aluminium slats are sold in a wide range of colours to meet your needs.

PVC slats (or vinyl)

PVC gives your interiors a contemporary look.
Venetian blinds with PVC slats are sold at affordable prices. They are suitable for bathrooms and kitchens, and are easy to maintain.

They are nevertheless not as strong as venetian blinds with wooden or aluminium slats.

It is not advised to use venetian blinds with PVC slats if you have a window that has direct sun exposure. The sun’s rays may cause the slats to deteriorate.
PVC slats are available in several colours to match your interiors.
